You may be asking yourself why we sell online as well as in showrooms. This combination normally doesn't work. I want to calm any fears and explain how we're creating a system that benefits everyone involved.
We believe showrooms are such a critical component to the construction industry. Hardwood flooring in particular has so many variables that need to be addressed in the research phase. Being able to touch, feel, and lay out multiple options is still the best way when selecting fine interior finishes.
The bottom line is that our primary sales route is through showrooms, but if the customer wants to purchase online, you don't miss out on the sales we make, we share them with you.
Often times when looking for flooring products online, consumers will stumble across the manufacturers website and reach out for pricing and samples. And unfortunately, often times many of these requests go unanswered as the request is passed from the manufacturer down through the supply chain.
With this new model, we as the manufacturer share the responsibility of handling the customer to whatever degree they choose. If they simply want to know the closest showroom to their home, we will give them a few options to choose from. If they want pricing, samples, or to purchase the product we will help them proceed! Some people want to shop from home in these crazy times and we don't want to stop them from receiving a great product if they choose to do so.
However, the difference between ourselves and other manufacturers that sell online, is that we share the sale with you.
During the checkout process the customer is given a map with all the showrooms near them that display our products. They then have to choose which showroom to work with to orchestrate will-call or delivery of their product to their job site. This online selection mimics the choice consumers make when they choose which store they want to step into and purchase from with the traditional model. If they have been into a showroom and received superior service there's no reason they wouldn't choose that same showroom to work with to complete the sale.
Once they choose, we send a that showroom a check for their portion of the sale as well the customer info. Even if the showroom had never helped the customer previously they will still benefit from the sale. The showroom then has the opportunity to help the customer with installation and the purchase of any of the other interior finishes they may need.
We want to make life easier for our customers as well as our showrooms. We are working to go above and beyond the status quo to show our commitment to this idea.
